Andy Meyrick Back At Spa 24-Hour

Andy Meyrick, former Bentley Factory driver, reunites with Team Parker Racing for the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

Andy Meyrick returns to the Total 24 Hours of Spa this July with Team Parker Racing in the #31 Bentley Continental GT3. This will be Meyrick’s seventh-time racing in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup’s season highlight, the third-time with Team Parker Racing and the fifth-time racing a Bentley Continental GT3.

For the 71st running of the legendary Belgian race, Meyrick joins Team Parker Racing and the Pro-Am line-up of Derek Pierce, Ryan Ratcliffe and Glynn Geddie.

Really looking forward to being back behind the wheel at Spa again this year,” said Meyrick. “I couldn’t ask to be with a better team. I know the Team Parker Racing crew very well, and to be back in a Bentley is a real plus for me as I have a long-standing history of success with Bentley. I’d like to thank Bentley and J&D Pierce for giving me the opportunity to be back at Spa. I’m excited for the race as with this crew and our driver line-up, we have a very good chance in the race.

As a previous factory driver for Bentley, starting at the end of 2013 through to 2015, Meyrick has enjoyed multiple victories and podiums behind the wheel of the Bentley Continental GT3. Results include victories at the 2014 Silverstone and Paul Ricard Blancpain endurance rounds as well as podiums at the 2015 Paul Ricard, Monza and Nürburgring endurance rounds.

With plenty of Spa experience, and with a team that has experience of achieving top-level results, Meyrick hopes to deliver a career-best result at Spa during this year’s Total 24 Hours of Spa, July 25th to 28th.

It’s great to have Andy back with us again for Spa this year,” said Stuart Parker, Team Principal at Team Parker Racing. “Andy is a talented driver, we’ve always worked well together, and he has a lot of experience driving Bentleys, so he is a brilliant addition to the team for the race.”
